Yesterday, on the way home from work, I picked up a lawnmower. We have company coming over on Friday and the yard needs some work (beautification if you will).

There is a little ditch (well there was) running through our yard from when they replaced the water line during renovation.   When they planted grass I guess it didn’t cross their minds to make that even with the rest of the yard, so now we have to fix it.  The night before last I was out there with a shovel digging away trying to make everything even, and then last night we put fresh dirt on top of that and made it even more even.  All this so we could put grass seed out there.

Lori was ready to get out of the house when I got home so she helped me put the lawn mower together, and feeling accomplished she thought she’d take it out for a spin.  It turned into her cutting the whole yard.  She wouldn’t stop and let me do any.  Ok, that’s fine.

Hopefully in a few weeks grass will start to spring up and the yard will look a bit more even.
