I tried this morning, and failed tremendously at making normal, run-of-the-mill, everyday pancakes. The first batch I put in the pan were horrible because I forgot the egg. The second batch was horrible (maybe) because there was too much egg, and they didn’t rise. The third batch just tasted bland and no good.
Lori kicks my butt at making pancakes. Hers are super fluffy and full of delicious flavor. She probably uses more butter than I do. I do however, make a great oatmeal pancake. It’s heartier and more like bread. Sweet oatmealy yummyness.
